I got a couple of hours of chipping in this afternoon on my new WoodMaxx WM-8H & I'm very impressed! Stalled the tractor once but only because I had the infeed going too fast for it to handle the piece I was feeding it.
Did my pre winter road side mowing today. The snow banks settle a lot better and are easier to push back if they are not held up by a bunch of brush. The sickle bar is pretty useful for my roadside. Here are some photos,
Some places are so thick I can't see the bar. Need to remember where the rocks and stumps are.
Mowing down a bank
I use this area for a log landing
I can lift the bar over this big rock with the 3ph height control, Any thing higher and I have to use the hydraulic cylinder on the mower.
Here I run one tire in the ditch and mow up the bank
The road is narrow here so I try to through the snow over the stone wall at the edge of the road and down the bank into the woods. Here I am mowing along the top of the obscured wall
