I can actually remember escaping from mine when I was around his age. I would pull back the mattress, lift the bottom (it was a folding crib), and slide out the bottom of the crib onto the floor.

I guess that was from a mounted camera with no one else in the room. Otherwise, my guess is the first fall would have caused the person filming to rush to the aid of the child or, at least, gasp!

I will wager that if the company that made the crib saw the video they would not think it was cute. Notice how close the rails are? This is because of all the law suits. Before long one will need a step ladder to reach the top on the rails around cribs. I also don't think you can manufacture and sell a crib anymore where the child can lift the mattress. Something about smothering and lawsuits.

lol. I just showed my mom this video about 20 minutes ago. She said I did exactly the same thing as the kid in the video. I sucked the bottle, threw it down and attempted escape and fell right back into the crib.
Now to me. That's makes the video even funnier. She said it was just like watching me in the video escaping the crib. Said she wished she got me on video doing that. I wish she had too.

Wow, do that now and you'd be on the evening news, charged with child abuse and nominated for worst parent of the year. Having said that, I wish I'd thouht of that 26 years ago for my daughter!
