I have the same problem, my wife refuses to learn how to move them. Doesn't matter that she should know for an emergency, so if you figure out how to get your wife to do it, please share with me.Old and feeble (my wife says) but I'm still here.
I bet people thought I 'succumbed'.... Not yet at least. If I get a dry cough, I'll tell everyone the end may be near. At that point, might as well come get my 2 Kubota's. Wife don't even know how to start them, let alone move them out of the barn.![]()
I turned off updates, my iPad forced an update anyways. I suit it down, and when I powered it back up it started updating without asking permission. Apple is evil.I love Win7. My Bro upgraded to 10 and has problem after problem. I won't be doing it ever. If I have to choose I would just go for a new Mac instead. Never had a problem with my old one and it is late 2009 model. I did replace the hard drive with a SSD when it started to go. Updates are quite painless.
I also have a iPad and Android tablet but prefer the Android by far.
Not sure what you mean by iPads stopping if you don't update them. You can turn off updates. I don't update the Mac any more and it works perfectly well.
