There are some Tomahawk quick attach items for sale locally and they claim to be made in the US. I can't seem to find ANY information about this company...
Does anybody have their equipment and where they are made and by whom??? I'm looking at a 90" snow bucket for $750 here in WI. Any good?

Thanks for your help.

Don Smock does the auction thing with heavy equipment. His last auction was Dec 12th and had a fair amount of Tomahawk grapples. Google Don Smock Auction site and check out past auctions ,the site posts what everything sells for. Last auction was Snowball in Pendalton Indiana.

Thank you. At least I got something. The link for your post about Tomahawk doesn't seem to work for me. I saw it on a search also and it didn't work there either. So I got a name and address, seem weird no web site/information. I saw that Polk thing also. They must be local folks selling the stuff for them.

Thanks again.

I think the reason for no Website is, D H Machine Inc makes Versa Tech and Tomahawk attachments that are sold mainly by auction companies, not dealers.

This is the biggest one: https://www.rbauction.com/

Thanks again. I thought I saw the company in your first post and then, poof, gone... Seem kinda sketchy to sell to auctions, but I guess they serve as filler for those folks. I like to buy something from someone who will be there after the sale. Auction, not so much.

It is in the thread in the first link in my first post.

I deleted the screenshot, you were trying to click on a picture of the link, so I realized it would be too confusing to leave it there.

FWIW, a friend of mine has a Versa Tech grapple that I got to use for several hours on a skid steer. It seemed well built and worked great. It actually inspired me to buy a grapple, although mine is not a Versa Tech.

I think that selling only at auction they cut out the middle man by not having to mess with dealers. I wouldn't discount the product they make because of it.

I've seen the Tomahawk rock buckets and grapples advertised on Craigslist in my area. Looked like some kind of dealer but not a formal business like a tractor or heavy equipment dealer. Pics showed rows of a few different types and prices looked reasonable.

I didn't go to look, but the units appeared to be no more than medium duty. If I had time I would have driven the hour to his yard, but I'm waiting till spring and then likely will go with an everything attachments rock bucket.
