Neal, thanks. What type of cutter is front mounted on the NH? Is that a disc cutter? Why would the batwing rake be twice as wide as the cutter?

Its a disc mower. The wings are also cutters, not rakes. It cuts 30ft at a time.

I had a hard time seeing just what that was. Looked like an army tank strayed into a junkyard and had a bunch of stuff welded on...

There are flail conditioners on the mower. We also sell the Krone big M. That will do 43ft, has roll conditioners, and an optional merger that attaches to the back of the wings.

that is 1 sweet cutting tractor let me tell you.but by the time you buy the tractor an the cutters you can buy a SP swather.

Methinks that the plus for the tractor is that you can remove the cutters and use it as a "regular tractor" for the rest of the year.

yeah but then again if you have enough land an work for a rig like that you be better off with a SP swather.

Now all you need is a Zamboni, then you can mow, shove snow and smooth out the ice.

Is that a Heston 4900 in the 3rd photo? Great piece of kit - spent three harvests operating one on a Case Magnum 7110, and almost still feel the shudder as the compactor ram pushed home on each cycle.... Great memories.

Per http://www.agcoiron.com/fileUpload/30YearAnniversaryLargeSquareBalers.pdf the Case 8450 is a rebadged Hesston 4900.

I'm 90% sure this one is out of the New Holland factory. Its not all that old.
