So why are the used prices so high? Especially on 2-5 year old units which is the main competition against the "new" buyers. I realize these units are still excellent machines but with most opting to buy new at 0% financing it would seem the used prices should be lower?

1. 0% financing isn't always available, and

2. Frequently used machines come with an implement or two. The one here had a mower and iMatch. Those are not zero-cost options.

3. A lot of people want to move up, but need to get a good price for their old machine to do this.

When you find someone who is really hungry and has to sell a tractor quickly to get money, the price will move into the "quick sale" category and it will be a deal you talk about for years.
