Is this a scam? Too good to be true????

{do you think we could buy this and resell for 3-4x as much right? Maybe its one of those deals where the seller really has no idea what she has}

Superbird, not to be critical, but it's that kind of thinking that keeps them coming out of the woodwork.

If that deal were legitimate, a person or dealer in that town would have grabbed it right after posting.

Save your money, as all others have said, SCAM,SCAM.

Same thing in Dallas Craigslist. I even went as far as asking how they wanted the money. They tried to direct me to pay through "PayPal International Payment" When you check with Paypal via the site portal they try to send you through, PayPal says it doesn't exist and it is a "scam". Beware. Craigslist is starting to post this scam alert.

Ok well update have been emailing back and forth asked for vin and if we could come see the tractor and she came back with that she works for a cruise ship and is always away and as far as seeing the tractor its already at a shipping co ready to be shipped in valley city oh and she needs name and address so she can tell the shipping co so she can figure how much it would be to ship she also said you send payment and she will have tractor shipped and we have 5 days to test it out and if we dont like it the shipping co will come back to pick it up. so my dads cousin owns a rig with a flat bed and he sent email back saying no need to ship my cousin can pick it up can you give me the vin of the tractor and tell me the name of the shipping co so she came back with a email saying she doesnt have the records of everything so we know its a big scam I almost want to make a pay pal account and put 1.00 in it and sent it to her and see where it goes. Guess we will have to keep looking oh well

There has been more than one of these type ads for cars in the bigger cities, but they want you to come see the car, they meet you shake your hand and say follow me the last couple blocks because its a hard to find address.
You get there, head into the garage "or whatever place the car is" and then 6 of his friends shake you down, steal your car and leave you standing there as they drive away with everything you own, assuming they didnt just kill you to save time.
If it seems to good to be true,... it is.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesnt mean they're not out to get me.

Hey man I wouldnt put it past them. There was a story on the news couple weeks ago guy was selling his wifes ring or something like that it think it was on craigslist for 2 grand and lady called about it to look at it she brought 2 of her friends and ended up shooting and killing the dad while his wife, son and daughter watched him die on the kitchen floor. I figured if anything my dad cousin and a few of his biker buddys would come take a look at it plus my dad has his permit to carry his 357 so no problem there but it was too go to be true

2005 Kubota 4WD Tractor L3400DT-F - $2940

Same palm trees in the background. This one was posted in Kalamazoo, MI.

Usually I see a couple of these a month around here. The last one was a New Holland, I believe 50ish HP for the rock bottom price of 3700. Had a beaver tail trailer, RFM, FEL, I believe this one came with a pot of gold and a rainbow.

I have been looking through various craigslist cities at used tractors and almost every city had this same ad, but they do the same thing for motorcycles, boats, cars etc. Even if only 1 of 100 people fall for it the scammers still make good money.

I see irresistable muscle cars advertised ridiculously cheap all the time. I ignore them. They are never real. Any one selling a car or tractor too cheap would have already sold it to his neighbor, brother, friend. No need to advertise a smoking deal.
