I changed the oil and filter on my NH35A, and overfilled. It's well over the full line on the dipstick. What should i do:
a) Ignore it
b) Run it w/ the dipstick out and let some oil spill out.
c) remove plug and drain some.

Thanks!

Drain out the excess...
Too much oil can cause foaming (air in the oil) which results in poor lubrication.
Better a quart low then a quart high...

$8 plus a trip to HF and the problem ISN"T solved. 1/2" ID tube won't fit down a TC35 dipstick tube. OP is out $8, wasted trip, has a useless transfer pump, and still needs to bend over and drain some oil out the old fashioned way.

I would take off the oil filter and drain it. Reinstall, start, then shut down and check. If needed repeat. Most filters will hold about 1/3 of a qt and this will be the less messy way of solving this issue.

Filter is mounted horizontally and holds maybe 3 ounces of oil. Makes a giant mess when removed. I spent 15 years servicing these tractors. Pull a drainplug. There really isn't a better way.

He could use the pump for his auto tranny fluid in his truck. In the past, prior to syn fluid fills, I'd suck out (through the dipstick tube) and replace a quart of auto tranny fluid every time I changed the engine oil. Did it do me any good? Guess so. Never had a bad tranny and didn't have to mess with the periodic drop the pan sloppy mess.
