My Kubota 7030 with 4K hours is a hard starter. After much experimenting I have found that it I run it at 1000rpm before shutting it off and then don't touch the throttle. A week later I can run the glo plug for 10 or 20 seconds, depending on the weather, and it will start right up on the 2nd or 3rd revolution. If I throttle it up or down just a little it is a 10+ second grind. I've run into a lot of trees in my 84 years, but I am slowly learning!
