I pulled the trigger and went from a JD lt155 to a Kubota ZG124 and love it. It might be overkill, but the quality of the cut and ease of operation is just leaps and bounds above where my LT155 was. I love mowing the lawn now.
Well, the kids wanted to go for a spin, so I put them on, and yes, buckled them in and took a spin or two around the front yard.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do for a bagger come the fall, but I've got a couple months to decide. I need to engineer a striper kit as well.
