So in the 1 hour between 2 blizzards I took delivery of my new Max 26XL today. This is my first tractor and the rep/driver from the dealer was amazing in showing me how to operate the machine and how to attach/detach implements. Within an hour he was gone and I got to work with my grapple moving seven 15' X 14-20" logs from 'in the driveway' to a more amenable place out of the driveway. I really wasn't expecting the little guy to be able to handle these logs but I was very pleasantly surprised. I didn't have much, if any, curl once loaded each huge log but I had enough grip and lift to move them to where I wanted them. What a joy! If only it hadn't started to blizzard again.... Hopefully I'll get to play some more over the weekend! Max 26XL with loaded rear tires and rear chains (there's still snow here). Mahindra 48"ish box blade for counter weight. My backhoe is on a truck from the factory and will get installed on Tuesday. I don't need it now so that's cool.
Edit: My grapple is a used Wildkat single lid that weighs about 1/2 of the smallest Mahindra grapple. Approx 300lbs.
