Kubota L3800 HST
For me it came down to Kioti CK35 and the L3800. I liked them both alot but it came down to the dealer and Kubota's reputation. I bought the L3800 from Johnson City Kubota in western NC. Matt was great to deal with. What I got was the L3800 HST, Filled R4 tires, LA524 FEL with quick release bucket, Fred Cain 5' rough cut mower, 5' box scraper, and delivery to Huntdale, NC (35mi) for $19,500 before taxes. The Kioti was actually about $1000 less but wasn't enough to sway me. I have about 10hrs on it and it mowing, scraping my driveway, and hauling trash. It has run perfectly. I love it!
I'm already looking at implements and will first buy some pallet forks and a quick attach 3ph. (It took me 45min to take the scraper off and put mower on the first time). Who knows what next? plow? disc harrow? tiller?

A toothbar for the loader will assist in a lot of good ways.

Congratulations on your purchase, could you tell me the width of your QA Bucket, is it near 60 inches or more like 66 inches wide? Also I dont know if you have heard of the Jerky 3pth hitch issue with L2800, L3400 and L3700 series tractors, what say you about your new L3800? can you raise the 3pt hitch slowly, without there being a series of jerky movements of the Implement? Many curious people would like to know this.
Thanks

I've read quite a few new threads lately that have asked that same question about the 3pt and if they fixed it. From what I've read, "no." It's still jerky, which is another strike against the l3700 I've been on the fence about for a few weeks. I know a lot of people say it's no big deal, but if I'm buying a new tractor, I would like it to work right for grading and post-hole digging etc. I can't believe Kubota hasn't made the fix yet, but I guess they're still selling.

The 3ph is jerky but has not been a problem so far. Sorry I can't measure the bucket for you right now. The tractor lives at our NC farm and I still live in Jacksonville,FL. (I'll be happy to in about 3 wks.)

When I attach my box blade, I start with the top link. When the tractor is sitting on a smooth level surface, the top link will pull or push the tractor or box to match the lower links with the pins on the box. Then attack the left side link, followed by the right side link. Most other 3 pt. implements I start with the lower links first, left link then right link. A parking stand for standard blades makes attaching them much easier. Post hole digger is every man for himself:laughing:

Congratulations on your Orange tractor. I've bought 3 different 3ph Quick Hitches. Bought Pat's and it's good and expensive. Discovered some less expensive ones on Ebay that I like better so sold my Pat's and bought two different ones off Ebay. One hooks implement on top (or under which I do) of hitch which saves the increased length of drive shaft and top link. The other is straight out of arms like Pat's.
If one doesn't have a helper during implement installation, being the sissy and old man that I am, I recommend 3ph Quick Hitches as the first purchase if one is going to use 3ph implements. They are almost a requirement, in my opinion unless the tractor has extending arms like the BX30 series and Grand L's. Back damage to save $100, not for me. I know, there are those exceptional individuals that back up, attach implement with no strain and drive off, I'm not one of them so again, QH for me.
