Bobcat Toolcat 5600
Appreciate all the help I've gotten on the other topics I've posted on here. I've only had mine for a couple months and the restoration is coming along nicely. I actually got a chance to use it the other day and blew a hydraulic line running to the steering controller on the firewall. To figure out which hose was leaking and then actually remove the hose, I ended up having to pull the cab completely off. Repair was a huge success from that stand point, but after I got it all back together, leak fixed the Toolcat now moves really slow. Top speed currently is only about 4 mph low and 7 mph in high. It moved a lot faster before I disconnected everything from the cab to remove. Wondering if anyone knows of any electrical safety or something I may have not plugged back in correctly that could be causing it. I did find one connection at first that wasn't fully plugged in that prevented it from starting when all back together. Fixed that and started right up. Now I just need to troubleshoot the "slow" issue. Still working great, just takes a while to get there.

Well I'll be. That might do it, and amongst all the things I can do in my shop, this is not one of them. Will have to contact my local Bobcat dealer and inquire. Thanks @ruffdog. I would have never even thought that was a thing. I did unplug it for sure. Good news was I followed the service manual and for the install of the cab it simply says "reverse". So maybe it wouldn't need recalibrating, but good thinking.

In case you are wondering what your Toolcat looks like without the cab on here it is. Very beefy backbone. Sorry for all the junk in the background. I had it shoved in corner of the barn.

Spoke with the dealer and the service tech states that is what would need to happen if it was disconnected. I am a little skeptical as what happens if you install a new battery. Would the same thing happen? Any way, I will be taking it for a visit (2 hrs to nearest dealer). Sounds like a fairly quick proceedure. They have to lift it off the ground he said. Anyone know of any aftermarket software to do it with? I know my VW/Audis had a Vagcom system I was able to get and to everything the service techs could.

Well, I've been holding out to get to the dealer (2hrs away) to get the pedal recalibrated. Just been driving around real slow. Yesterday something happened that triggered the red exclamation point on the control panel to light up. Immediately the machine resumed the normal operating speeds in low and high. I meant to write down the codes but didn't get a chance to. They were 50- something I believe. Will try to record them the next time I am in it. Other than the speed change (which went back to normal) everything else was normal that I could tell. How strange.

really interesting... I wonder if it learns itself after seeing vehicle speed too slow for too long?
