Tools for rebuilding Injection pump

I have a CAV DPA rotary distributor type injection pump.
Does anyone have a link for buying "special" tools required to take it apart and put it back together, like the timing tool. Cav manual references tool part numbers which I cannot find anywhere.

Pretty specialized equipment. Best to have a professional fuel repair shop rebuild it. They have all the equipment to test the pump after assembly and tweak it for best performance.

X2 if you need the special tools then you need the test bench to calibrate the pump

having worked with injection pump rebuilders for the last 20 years even if you found the tooling it would cost you 4 to 5 times more than getting a shop to do it. one cat pump used here in the south 1 rebuilder bought the tool and all the rest send them to him for building and even as already mentioned after building you will need test stand for calibration. if your having problems finding a builder post where you live can put you in touch with someone close to you.

Injection pumps (and injectors) are the two rebuild jobs best left to a specialized shop. Youy have precision lapped surfaces and all sorts of specialized setting and tools.

Don't cheap out, do it professionally. Just getting a gear drive pump back in time (in relationship to the gear train) can be a royal PITA on some engines....

Where did you find a manual? I have a CAV Lucas pump on my backhoe. Mystery item, factory manual has zero info re what's in it, replace it is all they have to say.
Reminds me of those old maps that had "HERE THERE BE DRAGONS" around the edge. Don't mess with it, you're too stupid I guess.

About like a Ford 351 Windsor is similar to a Chevy 350. The operating theory is the same, but how it gets done isn't.

that is all well and good but there are some that have to have special tool just to REMOVE the pump from the tractor! One that comes to mind is one on a AC 175. Dad's 175's pump is leaking and he can't get the tractor to the dealer(dealer being 30 mi. away, it is too far to drive and too expensive to the dealer pick it up) he has been unable to find the tool to pull the pump so he can get it rebuilt.

I guess to each its own, I didn't ask if i should do it, I asked where to buy tools. Thanks for all the warnings.
I am in the process of "re-building" CAV DPA, and I will also look into how to calibrate, which parts of the pump make sense to calibrate, tools you can buy for a reasonable price to do all the stuff at home.
By "stuff" I mean take the pump apart, inspect all the recommended components as per manual, put it together, and complete the calibration procedure on all recommended components as per the manual.

I might have shot myself in the foot by taking the pump apart w/o completely understanding all the intricate details, but after few weeks of gathering research material and understanding how pump works, I feel enlightened and happy that I understand how it works. I wont know for sure until i fire it back up but until then, for those who are daring enough to venture into this...
