Kubota L4610 HST with loader
Well now that the new L4610 is here I find that I have a serious problum. How do I carry all my stuff???? On my old 1910 I bolted a wooden box to the hood kept all my tools shere pin for the bush hog hammer file, ect., hell I could put my chain saw in it!!! I sure don't want to do that on this nice new mach. So IM hoping that someone has a idea on how to mount a box or a bracket to hold a saw on this thing. AND YES the Kubota dealer told me that I won't need my tools any more, and showed me the mini took box on the tractor. Did I mention that its kind of hard getting use to this brite color.

richh, I don't know whether anyone's going to be able to help you or not. I sure haven't figured out a good way to mount a substantially sized box. I either carry my tools in the loader bucket or pull a little trailer (neither of those options is always satisfactory).

Bird, Ito have put alot of things in my bucket but I have also dump them out and ran over them, and well just think of all the other things that have happend. The trailer won't work in the woods. I thought of a couple ammo cans somwhere???? Maybe a scabor to hold a saw? Most of the sheet meatl is prety thin.I just gota come up with something. Any body rember the guy who made the wheel weights?

Rich on mine I have a cab so the mounts that I have made wouldn't work for you.
The ammo boxes are a good idea use a large hose clamp around the rops cut two slits in the box to run the hose clamps through. Just an idea lets see what other people use.
Another advantage of the cab is alot less branches in the face!!!!!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Thats what the John Deere dealer said. Green is easier on the eyes. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Many tractors have a little bit of room at the front weight bracket and grill guard. I am lucky that on my Kubota, there is a lot of room behind and on each side of the seat that is floored and most things you lay there on a piece of rubber seem to stay in place. My toolbox is small, but carries a 3 pound all metal sledge, some wrenches, and assorted pins and hardware. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I don't think there is a good answer for this one richh. I have pondered this every since the 2710 was delivered. The little tool box under the seat just barely holds enough tools and shear pins when using the tiller to get me through a days work. Thats the one thing I wish Kubuto had put a little more thought into. I know what some posters reply would be on the shear pin comment, but until you till someones yard for a living that has a tree every 10 ft you just can't miss all those tree roots. glen

For hand tools I plan on getting some 4 inch PVC, cutting it to about 12 inches, capping one end, and using a large U bolt to attach it to the rops. By staggering the height s and which side of the rops you mount it on you can get quite a few of them on. Will be good for chains, bolts, wrenches, hammers etc. (Drill a drain hole in the bottom too) I have a fender mounted open box now (mounted w/ velcro - could bring myself to drill unblemished sheet metal!) but it's full. You won't get any weedwhackers in the things but all the little things will fit.

Thanks for the imput guys. I have yet to try anything. Talked to the dealer and IM trade-in the GST for a HST [ don't tell Mark ] so I can't really start bolting on any goodies yet. But I like the PVC idea, have some coffe can on the case hosed clamped to the ROPS, put my short chains in them. Still need a spot for the chain saw.
