Hello, I'm new to the forum and could use some advice. I purchased a new Kubota BX2350 (23 HP) and I would like to add a tooth bar to make digging in compacted earth piles easier. I see that the Markham tooth bars are highly recommended on this forum. Does anyone out there have a tooth bar on their BX 2350. I'd like to know how it works and also if there is a difference in the number of teeth. Markham's have 5 on a 48" bucket but I see that the Kubota tooth bar has 7.
Thanks for your help.

As far as the number of teeth, you can order from Markham with as many teeth as you want.

I have a 53" bucket on a JD 2520. The standard Markham tooth bar has 5 teeth - I ordered mine with 7, and am very happy with it. The extra teeth cost $26 each.

Thanks prosperity. Does the teeth make a big difference when your digging in compact dirt?

Cap, I have a toothbar on my BX2350.
VERY big improvement for scooping and digging!! Like having a bigger machine. More than a 100% improvement, you'll be happy. I am.

Here is a pic of my grapple, but shows the toothbar pretty clearly.

Mine has 6 teeth, fit perfectly, came from here:
eBay Store: Search results for Farm Equipment 24-7.

Send them an Email, tell them your Model, they will match it, mine was a perefect fit.

I can dig down into compacted soil, so, if you have compacted mounds, you should be able to get into them very well. The teeth do make a BIG difference.

The tooth bar makes a huge difference digging in compacted soil.

The first time I tried mine out, I was amazed at what my tractor can now do - put a huge smile on my face!

And, the nice part about the bolt on bars like the Markham, is that it takes less than 5 minutes to put it on or take it off for different jobs.

I am glad that I went with the 7 teeth vs. the 5. One of my primary jobs for getting the tooth bar was to remove a bunch of brier bushes that grew in to an area I had logged a couple years ago. Besides being able to easily dig under the roots, I found that I can just go into a bush at the stump - the stump between two of the teeth, then just lift the bucket up and pop the whole thing out of the ground.

Get yourself one - you won't be sorry - like owning a new machine with much more capability.

And, I can definitely recommend Markham - excellent people to work with, with a good price and excellent price on shipping.

Only one requirement when you get a new toy/attachment.

Post pics!! :D

You won't be sorry, dollar for dollar, pound for pound, the toothbar has a very noticeable effect.

Good Luck, let us know when the box arrives.

Markham is fast! Ordered the bar with 6 teeth on Monday and they called me yesterday to let me know it would be delivered today (Wednesday). Sure enought, I got it this afternoon. I live in Pa. but delivery was lightning fast! It weights 65lbs and looks to be built very well. The only thing I noticed was that one of the teeth was a little crooked and wasn't welded at a perfect 90 degree angle like the rest were. (I'm a little particular, I guess). Even though, I'm sure it won't affect performance. Can't wait to install it and try it out. Appreciate all your advice!:)

Glad to hear it Cap.

Don't worry about that one tooth - as soon as you get it dirty you won't notice it.

Just wait until the first time you try it - you will wonder how you ever lived without it!
