Toothbar fit on bucket edge

I also just installed a toothbar on my 72" bucket. It was straight as an arrow. I got it from Markham Welding.

sbd, They are lining you so they don't have to fix the problem. It should be a simple fix though. Take the bar out and lay it on a 4X4, curb, your bucket 5" off the ground, etc. Start standing on it until you work the bow out. I bought bar to build a toothbar and it was bowed when I got it and thats how I took the bow out of it. Hope it helps. MP

Kossetx, The bar that the teeth are welded to is 1/2X4X46 inch. My carcass is not heavy enough to bend it back down flat. I tried that already. Thanks anyhow!!

SDB, Does it go onto the bucket OK with the bow in it?

No, it does not fit. The sides were too high and actually lifted up off of the bucket edge while the middle was bottomed out. I wasn't about to bend my almost new bucket to match the smile the bar had on it. Putting a straight edge up against both was the eye opener.

UPS has it now. It's going back.

A shame. I could have bent it. I just did some last week in preperation for building mine. It was surprizingly easy for me.

The one I made bowed, I placed the ends on two 6''x6'' put my 300 lbs. on it what that didn't take out a 10 lb. hammer did.

I'm with alan on this one with the improper welding practices. They did not do it correctly.
My Markham TB is straight and fits like a glove...only thing required to install is a lineup punch..no pounding with a hammer at all.
