Toothbar haters...come on out!

Do I hate it ? Heck no ! I did manage to walk into the teeth once . And at that moment I wasn't real pleased with it !
But now I put the bucket rolled fully out, teeth down . As was stated before ... Makes a nice bench to sit on while the machine warms up , and I get my boots on ! John

I don't hate them, just haven't found that I need one yet. Most of the dirt work I do is moving sand or topsoil that has been dumped in a driveway or yard. A toothbar wouldn't help here. And often my box blade with teeth is on for ballast, so can use the rippers if needed to loosen the ground.

Best wishes,
Ron

I don't particularly care for my toothbar when I have to pick it up and wrestle it on the bucket.
Rat,
If your bolts are short get a couple of acorn nuts. It the bolts stick out over about half an inch, get a couple of barrel nuts and put silicone in the ends of them.

I took my toothbar off for the first time ever since installing it. I had to clean up a bunch of mud that had washed onto the neighbors driveway where _their_ snow-plow guy destroyed my silt fence.

Anyway, I thought it would be polite not to tear up their driveway and I was able to scrape it a lot cleaner without the toothbar.

I thought that the bolts would be rusted solid, but they actually came off pretty easy.
