Seriously though, I think I have the toothbar decision narrowed down to two so it's not a thread devoted to "to toothbar or not to toothbar" but rather one focused on which one is "best".
Any/all personal experiences with my two finalists (or other suggestions) are welcome and appreciated.
Background info for my application:
BobCat CT225/60" bucket
Shipping required from both suppliers
Money a consideration but not primary - value is.
So......
The two "finalists" are:
Markham Welding,
Markham Welding - Tooth Bar
and,
Iowa Farm Equip (ebay)
FreeShpg 59" Tooth Bar,Toothbar 4 Skid Steers & Loaders - eBay (item 330317306865 end time Sep-21-09 10:54:32 PDT)

Pros and Cons:
Markham has an extremely good rep here on TBN, stands behind their product and from all indications builds a quality product.
Iowa appears to have good feedback on ebay but I've not seen any TBN'ers refer to them specifically.
Markham is a 5 tooth bar - Iowa 6 (in the 60")
Pros/Cons of 5 vs 6?????
Both appear (from the limited info on each of their websites) to be quality built products.
So.......
If one takes the modest price differential out of the equation.....which way would you go?
Thanks for taking the time to respond and assist in my decision making as well as that of those who might read this thread in the future.

I would lean towards the 5 teeth as it will give better penetration in tough rocky soils.

The more teeth the closer you get to a plain ole cutting edge, and with less you dig in easier for full buckloads every time.

Since I made and installed mine (3 yrs) I have never taken it off, Just to darn productive in my rocky soil.

I bought the tooth bar from Iowa farm tool and am very satisfied with it. I grub and dig aggressively with no ill results. I would not hesitate to buy it again. Call Iowa farm tool and see who makes the tooth bar I do not belive they do. If I remember right it had a woods tag on it.
