Does anyone have pics of the Top N Tilt that shows the placement of the controls? I am trying to decide if I should get the setup from Deere or assemble my own. it seems that I can save money, but probably won't get it set up as nice.

Hang in there, Mike- I was told early this week that my 4310 was on the truck and headed this way- I ordered it with 5 scv's. Nobody seems to know for sure how it will come out- I just told the dealer I wanted all the hydraulics I could get. RaT posted a similar query a month or so ago, and got no response. I talked to three different dealers, and no one knew more than what the JD configurator offers. It appears that it will be similar, but not identical to, the setup used on the 110TLB, which uses an electric diverter on the joystick to direct the flow to the rear hydraulics. Previously, cable operated scv levers were installed on the fender, but these were imprecise, and, with the advent of eHydro, there is no longer any room for them. Should have more info in a week or so.

Mike...

See attached pic of the top and tilt set up on my JD 4710. FWIW, this set up was installed by my dealer, KC-Canary of Fultonville, NY. It did require some significant knowledge in hydraulics and the technician who did the install mentioned it was somewhat time consuming to do the install. Everything works great though and I'm glad I had the dealer do this as opposed to someone else.

Lastly, this is a pic of the color coded SCV hydraulic set up (5 SCVs) that control a) the 3 hydraulic functions for my 4in1 bucket and b) with use of diverter valve, the TnT functions in the rear.

Thanks Bob, Looks awesome. Is that the diverter switch that is on the front. It looks like it has a book icon...

Yep...that's right Mike. It's real easy to operate. I press that switch down, red light comes on in a small window on the diverter switch, and my FEL's hydraulic functions transfer immediately to the rear to operate the top and tilt functions. This was much easier and less expensive to install than putting in a switch called a Fasse valve in on top of the FEL's joystick. This is the standard Deere install procedure. Going with a Fasse valve would have cost me a few hundred more and I just couldn't rationalize this. I saved this money instead and used it to buy some forks. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Bob,

I've just been discussing elsewhere a trivia point about JD's top-n-tilt being listed as mutually incompatible with the optional draft-sensing system. Can you think of any reason why there would be (outside of a simple physical space/fitting conflict) some fundamental reason why the two can't work together?

(Obviously you'd have to shut off the draft sensing (control all the way to one end of the slot) to keep it from "seeing" movement of the top link). Other mfgs. do seem to list both options together, but not JD.

(From the pics in the 4710 operator's manual, the "yoke" that the top link attaches to is considerably different (and maybe a bit of a different location) compared to the standard hitch.
