I have a Cub Cadet 1045 mower that I bought 1.5 years ago. I am not going to bash any company BUT I will tell it like it is.
My wife does all the lawn mowing while I am out working on the big tractor. I can not tell you how fustrated we both are with this pile of junk. I get flagged down on the tractor all the time because the belts have come off or it won't move or it just stopped and will not start.
First year this mower was in the shop 4 times. Transmission promlems (would not move) one electrical. When it was not in the shop the belts keep coming off. I would fix this myself. The problem is very cheaply (weak) mounting brackets for the belt pullys that bend over time with nothing extream being done to it. This year we have a new problem to go with the belts that will not stay on. When you engage the mower you can get about 50 feet before the mower shuts down dead. Turning the key shows NOTHING AT ALL. The problem is a blown fuse. Replacing the fuse will get you another 50' or so. Its sitting on the trailer as I write this waiting to go to the shop AGAIN tomorrow.
BUYER BEWARE!!!
