Just read in the paper where The Toro Company purchased the Intimidator Group. The Intimidator Group makes the Spartan Mowers and several other products.

So it seems there are 2 large competing companies. The TORO-Spartan and the Stanley-Black+Decker-Craftsman that just got MTD. The American market is rapidly changing.

B-D also picked up Excel group IE, Hustler. And Toro purchased Ventrac in 2020 and Charles Machine Works IE Ditch Witch in 2019 so things are thinning out.
