Kioti CK2610 HST 60" bucket
So my owners manual says to check the torque on the FEL after the first ten hours of use. Im at ten hours and cant find in the book what the nuts should be torqued to. I am referring to the the nuts that connect to the large bolts (with the grease fittings) that hold the various segements of the FEL together. The nuts have a nylon insert in them to keep them from coming loose. They dont look like they should be tightened very much as it might bind the free movement of the FEL. Any ideas?

It should be in the manual for the FEL (which is different from the tractor manual) . The bolts that hold the loader sub-frame to the tractor are critical. The ones that hold the greased loader bushings in place only need to be snug so they won't work out of position.

Thanks ritcheyvs, That is the info I was looking for. I saw the specs on the sub-frame loader bolts in the book, but wasnt sure about the greased loader bushings.

They are called loader pins and those bolts are called pin keepers...at least here.

Those loader pin keeper bolts will continually loosen. Loctite them or keep snugging them. Mine are staying tight now...finally.

Ok, maybe your pins are different. I had a look at a pic of what is probably your model.

Anyway, the bottom line is the pins are not supposed to rotate. If your "keepers" are the little tabs to hold a square cornered pin end, then the nylock nut only has to keep the pin end fully engaged to the tabs.

I wish Kioti would stop cutting corners to compete on price.

My 2013 has quality features all over it, both in design and materials. All of the Kiotis of that era have pins with keepers and a snap ring on the inside. Even if the keeper bolt falls out, the pin will not. This is how pins should be made.

50 cents here, a dollar there, the next thing you know the Kiotis are not the superior Korean brand that they were. If they keep it up that will be the case.

The older CK's were a little mini-ag tractor. Not so much any more.

The NX's are a big step down from the previous DK's and obviously the RX's IMO.

Too much power, not enough weight seems to be the trend.

If your tractor is spinning out before it powers out, then it is not heavy enough, and not balanced. You will just break things...

Rant over and sorry for the sidetrack. Waiting for the dew to come off to cut some more hay. Nothing better to do right now, lol.

Don't forget. don't forget, don't forget to torque wheel studs. A lot of people don't touch them until 50 hours because that seems to be what the manual says and the nuts come loose much earlier than that and ruin nice new wheels. I would even blue locktite them.

Thanks for the great input guys. I think I really understand now how the loader pins work. I will also check my wheel torque today.

One can never have enough power, Fred
