Touch up paint for new jd and equipment

I have added some tool boxes made of old army ammo cans to my jd3520 and some equipment. Used rust-oleum farm equipment paint to paint them. I wasn't expecting much but boy was I surprised. And less than $5.00 a can.

The "matches john deere green" color matched almost perfectly. You can't tell the difference until you catch the light just right and if someone is looking at my tractor that close they won't see the board hitting them in the back of the head!!!

Seriously though, I do not know who durable this paint is. Does anyone have any experience with this paint or know of another paint that will match that well and be durable?

send some pics of your new tool boxs I am curious. I have looked a couple of times and haven't figured out were I would put one. The factory tool box once you put a pair of gloves, and pair of pliers it is full. So send some pics

Here's my non-welders attempt at an onboard tool box using an ammo can. Not ideal, but functional. I would like to carry my chain, but the way this is set up, it can't handle that much weight over my rough pasture. The holes in the ROPS are all ready there on my 3320.

i am planning to attach something on the left side like a greese gun holder. my quick hitch is used for all my attachments (except the phd) both 3 pt and others.

Nice tool box and location.

Noted your intended useage, and just wanted to pass on a suggestion of changing out some of the clips and hitch pins at three locations to bolts and lock nuts. I learned early on that the hitch pins can catch on sticks and things, get pulled out, and then the 3pt arms are loose to possibly cause damage (have heard as serious as broken castings, and less serious, bending of components). I posted your pic with three of the locations marked that I have switched over to bolts (I seldom if ever remove those clips at those locations anyway, except the times I remove the iMatch). ¼" bolts with locknuts is what I use and then don't worry about losing them.

There are a couple other points I changed out too, that is at the rocker arm and the lower 3pt arms. Total of 5 on each side. I guess the hitch pins and clips look 'cool' over bolts, but the bolts will stay put.
