I just took delivery of a 2004
L3130- but it's 4 whl drive and has a LA731 loader- seems to be a serious tractor, at least compared to my previous
B8200, also with a loader, albeit much smaller. I had priced adding a loader to a L4320 I looked at, a similar sized loader, I believe, and I would guess you could have a good loader put on for around $4500. Mine has filled rear tires, and they really balance it out. I am still sorting my new tractor out, fixing things like broken zerks that the dealer should have taken care of, in my opinion, but overall I hope it will clean up to my standards nicely. It will be a hobby tractor, used for plowing and general things, not farm use as before. There has to be real value in taking care of your grandpa's tractor, personal as well as real potential service advantages. Only you can weigh that. Your newer
L3200 should be worth more, allowing a loader to factor in?? Good luck in figuring out which way to go!
