Greetings Kubota SagesI'm trying to think up a utility box without getting into a welding excercise. I want it to carry weights, a water tank, tools and such. My first thought was to buy one of the little Three Point Hitch forks from Northern. Then construct a wooden box that would sit on the forks and attach to the back brace. This is a low cost solution and the fork could be used for light duty compost turning etc. The problem is that the fork is listed as a catagory 2 hitch. Will this fit on the 2200?Another approach ( more epensive) is to buy one of those TPH ball hitch reciever and a 4 foot wide platform designed to hang onto a medium sized pickup. Then put a wooden box on that.I 'm sure there are better ideas. I've even seen a ready made box in Europe but haven't been able to locate it in the US.Any thoughts would be appreciated.CheersMichael

I got a set of those carry all forks from Northern and they were junk.
It would have cost more to send them back then they are worth, so they are rusting in the back yard.
I got a couple of real nice carry all forks from gearmore for about the same price and they fit ok on a BX.
One set has a 3'x5' garden cart body bolted to it and works like a pick-up bed on the 3ph.
The other has a receiver hitch bolted on the end and a 2'x4' metal platform on the top. I use it with cement blocks as a ballast box, to tow trailers and to haul tools and stuff around the property. Pretty handy deal.

Thanks Mark ---I'll skip the Northern. I was favoring the idea of a 3pt hitch reciever hitch and one of those pickup truck carry alls that slip into the receiver. I'll take a look at the Gearmore (is there a Web site?)Cheersmichael

I picked up a carry all from TSC two weeks ago for my BX-22. After adding some 2x PT decking, it's turned out to be an excellent TPH solution for carrying "this and that" as you are looking to do. Including the lumber, I don't have more than $100 in it.

I made a heavy duty carryall out of 2" square tubular steel. It will lift more than my tractor will carry. I bought about $60 worth of steel and pirated the pallet mover design from the King Kutter website to get the design. I actually bought some backets and pins from JD for mine to adapt it to the quick detatch loader bracket. So I can use mine on the loader frame or 3 PH. If any one is interested, I can take some photos this weekend and post them.

Photos? Yes, please! I use a three point receiver hitch and a receiver hitch cargo rack that I had welded together for using on a truck. This has been an excellent set up for hauling stones and posts.
