Trac Vac 580

Just picked up a (used) new to me trac vac 580 from craigslist today. Have been looking for about a year for a used one for the right price that wasn't too far away or too beat up. It also has a chipper for up to 2" dia. branches and twigs, haven't seen too many used ones with the chipper. Can't wait to try it out tomorrow.

I had one of these about 12 years ago. The biggest frustration I had was getting sticks wedged inside the inlet hose to the fan. It did work nice for leaves, but occasionally the fan discharge pipe would pop out of the box shooting shredded leaves everywhere mostly funny, :laughing: unless I didn't notice it right away. I eventually sold it as I had too many leaves. I found a better way to remove them from the lawn. The unit itself was well made and I never had any problems with it.

Finally got the trac vac all set-up and tried it out this evening, it worked great. I was considering buying the trac vac boot for my mower, but it would have ended up being about $250 with tax and shipping(I paid $425 for the **** vac). I ended up buying a universal trim it and mount it yourself boot from agrifab for about $60 bucks.
