Tractor advice needed

Welcome to TBN.

Don't intend to muddy the water, but that far north it tends to get a tad chilly in the winter, and you might have the occasional mosquito the other times. Even though you are mostly wooded, I would consider (seriously consider) a cab tractor. Oh probably couldn't do it if I was buying new, but a used one that was already scratched up...you bet!!

Thanks Dean. I've been looking up different models that various members of the community have suggested and I must admit that the tractors with cabs look intriguing. Thanks for your two cents...very helpful.

This decision nees to based on what size implements you plan on using. A 16 ft. batwing mower is going to require a lot more power than a 6 ft. snow blower.
No matter what go with 4wd and at least 50 hp.

Thanks Flusher for your quick reply to my question. It looks like a nice machine...a bit more than I had hoped to pay, but it's giving me something to think about and maybe my expectations are unrealistic.

I agree you'll want more then a compact tractor. Something in the neighborhood of 50-70 HP should do it.

Tractorhouse.com will allow you to search by state and by entering your zipcode, you can see how far away each tractor that you find is from you. You can search by Less than 40 or 40-99 HP. Not much use in looking at any larger than that. You can also search for tractors with Cab buy putting that in the key word box.

That's a very good function. With my luck, I'll finally make a decision and then figure out that the tractor is in Hawaii.
