I was given twenty 10 lb weights from exercise equipment. I looked around and had a long bolt with an eye hole for a clip at the end, plus a pole spike. Just right for anchoring five of the weights on the drawbar.

This improved the pulling power for this little 18 hp Yanmar, pulling my watering trailer uphill over disked ground. Note the water level in the tank.

I already had 70 lb iron weights on each rear wheel. (The second linked photo shows another part of the exercise 'torture machine' re-purposed to make a spike harrow lift).

I am going to have to find a little bit of weight for my M7040 as it is a little light in the rear. I was moving a piece of equipment down a very slight hill and around a corner and felt it trying to turn the tractor over. Quickly dropped the FEL which helped with the turning over part, but didn't do much for what I was moving. Normally the bush hog would be on the tractor but I was working on it, trying to replace a zerk fitting. So for a small amount of grease I almost lost the tractor (in a weird way of looking at it)!

Was it like a wagon that was pushing you?? Or did you have it lifted with FEL?
