Tractor
Long 560
My Long 560 is so heavy that I need to shave a little weight but I still want to keep my tires loaded. My rear rims are just a ring with the tire on it bolted to a big thick cast iron center which is bolted to the hub of the tractor. It has a 8 lug pattern. Can I just take a one piece rim from another tractor and make it fit mine? Are the lug patterns the same? This tractor is so heavy that when I drive it on the trailer it picks that back of my Yukon right off the ground. This is not gonna work so Im hoping to drop a little weight by getting rid of those heavy rims. My tractor weighs 4800 lbs plus my loaded 14.9-28 tires plus my FEL. So Im guessing 6800 lbs total??

I doubt that changing rims will do much as far as lifting your Yukon goes. This is a common problem when towing with SUVs or empty pick-ups. Its really caused by not blocking the rear of the trailer while loading.
Just think of the force being exerted on that hitch when you are LIFTING up on the tonque with enough force to lift the Yukon. The innards of the trailer hitch are designed to have mostly a downwards force, not up....Similarly the hitch itself has a maximum tonque weight, which will be a LOT less than the max trailer weight. This rating is also in the DOWN direction....
Many of us with CUTs would LOVE to find rear wheels with built-in wheel weights like yours. Take a tape measure around to various dealers and see what you can come up with....

I agree with Pat, if you do this you will not make enough difference in weight to take away from it lifting your truck up, aside from that you will also loose alot of rear wheel traction.

What I normally do is carry a few 6x6's maybe 1-2' long and lay them and a few other blocks under the center rear of the trailer to prevent it from dipping down so much.

get legs with small plates at the bottom welded to the rear end of your trailer !
easiest way to fix your problem !

Just block the back of the trailer with jack stands

Yup Im using jackstands. They work great. Now my only problems left are the tires on my trailer look like they are really low on air even though they have 60 lbs in them, And my Yukon doesnt seem to like pulling it very well. Im thinking I need to get a smaller tractor
