Unless you have a factory cab, forget about being quite. If anything, it will probably be noiser. There is some sound dampening foam on the inside of the roof on mine, but it's still very noisy. I always were music muffs, so it doesnt bother me.

The noise level is a great point and something anyone with with a sub-compact and cab should pay attention to. I have a MF GC2600 and built my own cab and measured dB in the chair went up about 10 dB and is now a hair under 100dB. I haven't performed an RTA analysis yet to determine the offending frequencies but I would guess a range from about 100hz to 1khz or so are the loudest. I would suggest anyone running a cab with a sub-compact to don hearing protection.

The Curtis cost be around $1800 a few years ago, no telling how much they are now. But IMHO, if you cant afford a factory cab, getting a good kit is well worth the money. (Jdgreg)

Currently, the basic Curtis cabs are close to $3000. Could you get by with an economy version like the one on my Kioti. I'm using it and it works better than it looks and costs $400 out the door?

Lots of pictures of the windbreaking cab on the above thread. Many including myself found they work very well.

Basically all you need is a top for your Kioti that cost around $300 and is useful all year and throw a golf cart cover over the top (cost $90 delivered to your house)

I had a canopy on my kioti lk3054xs and my wife made her version of a golf car cover that worked ok but my vision especially at night was impaired. I bought a 1966 cj5 with a 6 foot plow on it, the entire body has been replaced with fiberglass version (Not just the tub) an extra heater is under the passenger seat. I spent 4k for a street legal vehicle, about the same as a cab.

I can say noise has been reduced in the cab i made.(not saying mine is built better)I was certain the noise would be amplified like when a canopy is installed but not the case lucky for me.The only thing i can figure is mine is gear drive,no hydrostat wine??? But it is deffinately more quiet in the cab.Still not near as quiet as a factory cab would probably be but then again none are offered for my model.
