Tractor Canopies

Do any of you have information on good tractor canopies.
I was thinking of one for my TC30(which will be delivered next week) the dealer carries a Westendorf canopy for $405.
It is a fiberglass canopy. Thnks in advance.

My dealer uses Wells Ag Company 1-800-581-9226 on there TC's. They are very nice Diamond Aluminum, have insulation for less heat transfer and have a tubular metal frame that can be mounted in two different settings "foreward or more towards the back to shade your back better". I have not gotten a quote for one but they are very nice.

I can see where the insulation would help reduce heat transfer if you have an aluminum canopy but I was told by my dealer that the insulation was put there to absorb tractor noise. He said the otherwise the canopy would "bounce" the noise back down on your head.

Who are you looking to buy your new tractor from?

Yes, Now that you say that I remember him say the same thing. I am not interested in a canopy at this time so I was not paying all that close of attention. I got the number off of the brochure he gave me.

I am going to purchase my tractor from Lansdowne-Moody Kubota/New Holland in Webster (South of Houston).

I am bouncing between the TC45 and a TC45D with SS and hoping that the rebates and interest rates hold through July!!!!!!

This topic has been discussed many times, but I also had a Wells Ag Company canopy on my B2710. Mine was insulated steel painted to match the tractor, but the diamond plate aluminum would have been the same price - $295. And I've yet to see a canopy that I would have traded mine for.

I have been trying to find someone with a Westendorf canopy, for two months now. I am really curios as to the qualty durability, ease of installation, etc, etc.

I want to mount one on our new TC29,. So if you get one for your TC30, please gives us a reveiw. And have fun with that new tractor. Post pictures if possible.

I'm with Bird. I have had my Wells Ag aluminum canopy for about 2.5 years. I would not trade it for any other canopy that I have seen on the market.

Does Lansdowne Moody still offer free lifetime pick up and delivery? That is a nice perk to consider when choosing a dealer.

I had talked to the folks at the I-10 location before I bought my TC33D but ended up buying elsewhere (out of state) because I got a better deal on my Bush Hog rotary cutter. However, I have taken my tractor the I-10 location twice for service and have been happy with the work they do.

I fully endorse the hydrostatic transmission if you plan on doing a lot of back and forth operating. My tractor is a dream to operate compared to the manual transmission I had in my last tractor.

The dealer I bought from talked me out of getting the super steer option. He said that if I would be using my tractor in the woods there was a chance the cables might get snagged on underbrush or a stump. Sounds like a mighty fine option to have though if one is going to be mowing in open areas around a lot of trees and bushes and making a lot of tight turns.

I ordered the Westendorf canopy today. I checked on the Wells ag canopy and it was $295 +85 for shipping, The dealer will not charge me for shipping on the Westendorf canopy.
So hopefully I will get the tractor and canopy next week. Just found out today that the dealer is going to put on a set of rear remotes at no charge because I bought a used backhoe from them.

Keep us informed as to the quality of that Westendorf canopy. I've been dying to find out if its as good as it looks. I think its curved lines will really compliment the looks of my new TC29.
