I have it in the garage now, but need to move it outside. It barely snow's here. The tractor will be covered most of the winter. Probably used once ever 10 days or so in the spring, summer and fall.

By cover, I don't know if you refer to the fitted type that is used for cars or the canopy type with a metal frame. I have never seen a fitted type cover advertised but you might want to check out www.calcarcover.com. They specialize in custom fitted covers.

Hi...

This is a convienient way to cover it... your own tarp sides can be added... from Farmtek.com
"Starting at $569"...

...or... building a simple sloped roof may be less expensive...
...like a lean-to against the garage...

If a regular type poly tarp is put right on the tractor... expect it to scratch/wear the paint from wind movement... may/may not matter to you... this is a low cost thing to do... maybe $25 ?

A canvas tarp may be somewhat better... less harmful... more $$ than poly though...

Maybe old sheets/blankets sewn together ?

Well...I'm not a bettin' man...but I sure bet them are famous last words!"

Especially seeing that you got a loader on that tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You might want to consider putting plastic under the tractor as well to keep moisture from coming up from under the ground. The tarp alone on top can trap moisture and hold it in there on your poor tractor.

i go along with dave's thinking some type of canopy or leanto, better than just throwing something over the tractor, gets to hot, or creats moisture.

My .02:

Consider the wind too. Maybe you are fortunate and don't have much, but around here a good windstorm can last a couple of days with gusts 50+ MPH.

After that, a cover will have flapped itself to shreds and/or sanded the paint right off the tractor where it rubbed.

A canopy is a better choice but must be anchored well so it can't fly off in the wind and cause injury or property damage.

I also have a b7800 and hav e determined that it does not take much wear for the paint to disappear especially where one steps to get seat time. I think a flexible cover of any type will be hard on the paint. I purchased free standing car port type for mine 18 feet by 20 feet for 595.00 which is more than enough room to store other equipment out of the weather just my 2 cents $00.02
