Tractor fluid for mahindra

Does any one know tractor fluid is acceptable for the 4530? The book says nothin about the fluid you buy at the local auto part store , I was wondering if you could use regular tractor fluid. Thanks!

Do you mean Hydraulic fluid? if so your best bet is Tractor Supply or a store like that.

Odd, my manual gave the exact specs for the fluids needed. As Murph says, TSC or similar is the best bet on finding all the fluids you might need under one roof. If there isn't anything in the manual, you can also ask any of the local Mahindra dealers. They should know what Mahindra specifies for any of their machines.

Ok my manual says Sae 80w UTTO, I didn't know if that was, never seen tractor fluid in weight before

Most of the UTTO (Universal Tractor Transmission Oil) on the market is SAE80W which is sometimes marketed as 10W30 UTTO. There is also "UTTO Extra" on the market which is SAE85W and sometimes marketed as 20W40 UTTO.

With your manual stating SAE 80W UTTO, I'd go with the plain jane tractor supply universal fluid. Everyone else seems to have good performance with it.

I have 10 gallons of TractorSupply's Premium UTTO in my 5035 HST, works great... !!!!
