Steve
I too live in the woods on the side of hill with a 700 ft driveway to plow. Only have 35HP CUT now fortunately 4wd but I have had to call my neighbor with his snowblower on more than one ocassion. Don't even think about clearing with a bucket except for piled areas.
If your woods is like mine NE Pensylvania. The manuverability in the woods, tractor weight, and wheelbase matter a lot.
My old AC model B was manuervable with wheel brakes and could easily skid trimmed small logs (less than 12 inches). However one time in the fall I dropped a wheel into a hole that was covered with leaves and my rear wheel came a foot of the ground before stabilizing ( I had slid on the seat as far over as I could go to stop it). My young wife also stepped on the wheel off of the ground to hold it down. I was able to lock the wheel she was on and creep out.
My WD 45 had the power but not the manuervability. My current CUT lacks the wheelbase for traversing across a hill but straight up and down is fine.
Bottom line get the recommendations from people near you who have similar terrain and needs. If I had a dealer near me I think I would look at a power trac.
Good Luck
