Tractor has been sitting 3 yrs with diesel still in it

What is the model number of the tractor? There is very little chance that the year of manufacture is 2002. If it's a YM tractor, it's probably 25 years old or more. I don't think you will have any trouble getting it to run if it's mechanically sound, just want you to know what you're buying. Fresh fluids and filters, it should fire right up.
