Hi All,
Today without the intent of buying a backhoe for the 1260 I happen to see a new Taylor-way 766 on the side of the road.
I stopped in only to get an out the door price of $3500.00 Tax inc.
It is now mounted to the 1260. I don't like the 3 Point setup and would like to know if someone would have pics of a subframe mount for my 1260.

I did test the unit and find it to be strong but I don't want to hurt the tractor.

Thanks
Phil

Ok, I built a subframe and this bh works great. Its strong and will do everything that I will ask. Comparing to other brand this BH is also well built. It has it's own pto pump that is included in the price no add on. 6.5' @$539.00
My Massey Dealer wanted $1000.00 a FT Plus subframe and install. Anyone looking for a reasonable new BH should try one.

What are the advantages/disadvantages of a BH with a PTO pump as opposed to getting rear remotes and using the tractor's hydraulics? I have wondered about that since I don't have rear remotes on mine. What's better?

Hi Mark,My thought is it has it's own pump, filter, and oil tank.
I like that idea only for the fact it will not contaminate my tractors oil. And being a separate sys. if I blow a line or somehow cause a leak the tractor is fully functional.
Just My thought!

Hi Phil - I have a 1260 also and been lusting after a backhoe for sometime. Do you have any photos of the subframe that you built?

Also do you have to take your subframe off to use the 3 point?

Regards

Hi Barry,
I will attach a picture of the back end for the subframe.
I have a woods loader and the bottom frame for that may be different than a MF frame. I used 2 5"x5" H-beams front bolted to the woods under frame. At the back of the tractor I used the 1.5" hitch bar . I welded 2 3"x3" sq tube across the beams to hold up the weight of the Bh. I did notch the bottom tube so the bar would slide though. I also added 2 1.5" tubes to the top of the beams to act as a bumper under the rear axle perchases. I used the bottom mount arm on the Bh and end bolted to the H-beam. The Bh also comes with a top link connector and braces for the 3pt. that is where it belongs except I did a mod to the braces and reversed the an connected to the top of the beams. Now there is only a load on the top link tha is very light. You can still pull the pin out with all of the Bh weight .
I can send more pics if you need.

"Also do you have to take your subframe off to use the 3 point?"
Yes the frame comes off with the Bh 3 Bolts, and 2 pins.

Hi Mark,
It will dig 6'-6" it has plenty of power for it's size. I would assume that the reach is 7' or so out the back. It has a really good side to side reach as well.
