Tractor Identification

   / Tractor Identification #11
It looks like the cylinders are scored and have rust. I would also suspect that the cylinders will need repacked. All the hoses will need replaced. I do not see the front pump that should be on the tractor to power the loader and the backhoe. It might be on the loader.
I would make sure that the hydraulic valves for the backhoe and loader move freely.
Hydraulic valves are expensive.
The hydraulic lines are not cheap either.
This is not a cheap way to get a backhoe. However if you want a project then this would be a good one. It looks solid.

And if you are saying you can buy it for $750 then it's definitely a bargain. You could part it out for much more than that!!!

Re: Tractor Identification

The BEST idea is to buy it at $750, and part it out!
If you "fix" it you will have MANY thousands invested in a TLB that is only worth a VERY FEW thousand.
I have a 1970 Ford TLB (gas) with 1850 hours. It is in very good condition, but is probably not even worth $10,000.
Save yourself the money and the grief!
Part it out!
You will MAKE several thousand dollars!
Then ...... go buy a better machine!
My situation: I have a 1988 Ford 1920 FEL 4x4 that I just repaired/restored.
BAD IDEA! Could have bought a new 4x4 Ford for a 6K or 7K more!
