Quick question and I think I already know the answer. Have a Universal, Romania made, 445 tractor. Samething as a Long. It is about 40 years old. Had the injector pump rebuilt about 25 years ago. (rust in fuel) Having been using it a lot lately to skid logs. Noticed the injector pump is weeping fuel from several different connections and a couple of screws.
My guess is a replacement soon. Can find them on different places that sell Long parts and Fleabay has by far the best price. Looking prices run from around $575 to $725. Since is so old would it probably be better to go for a new one instead of getting that unit rebuilt. If it can still be rebuilt. Last time I took it to a place about 40 miles away and they fixed it.
At that time I did not know they had to be timed with the engine. Bolted everything back up bled and it has worked (hard) for 25 years. Was bought new that many years ago. Just chugs along. Don't look pretty but don't have to worry about scratches or dents.
