You should ask your agent if they will "schedule" for "all perils" the tractor under the personal property of your homeowners policy. I have that and I am covered on and "off" (that includes doing work for a friend on his property) my property so long as it is not for income $'s. I have two homes and I move the tractor between the two via trailer and mine is covered at both homes by the one policy reguardless where it is located in the event of a loss. BTW, the two homes are insured by different carriers. The only problem you might encounter is that the coverage limit is restricted to 10% of your Personal Propery limit (that is coverage C in your policy). Depending on the Coverage C limit you bought will determine if 10% in sufficient to cover your coverage limit for the tractor. BTW, My tractor premium is $74.00 done this way.
