Hi All,
I've operated tractors, off and on, since I was young but I've never put much thought into the inner workings of one. Now I've started a small farm and need to know. I own a '61 John Deere 4010 gas burner. I wanted a gas burner because it was originally to be used in a location with no power and I needed it to be able to start during the winter. I just put on a Dual 3000 loader and am trying to work through some hydraulics issues (which I just posted a question about). I've upgraded to electronic ignition, a flame thrower coil and an alternator. I want to get the hydraulics working well and then I will turn my attention to the lights (which short out) and then either a roll bar or a cab. I'm located in southeastern/central Nebraska, near Hebron. I'm looking forward to learning a lot from this forum.
