Tractor Radio

I'm new to the site was wondering if someone would know where i could get a radio for my BX 2360. all of the radio's ive seen are for the big tractors looking for something for the compact size.

Have you checked any Marine sites...The radios for boats are much smaller,,,???

We use 'peltor work tunes 22'...it's hearing protection with a AM/FM radio. I paid 80 at a Husky dealer but have since seen them at amazon for less. I use 'em with all our motorized equipment...with the chain saw they're just adequate but every else is good to excellent. With the pair I have it's easy to work the buttons with a gloved hand. I wouldn't be without 'em after using them for 6 months.

I also use the Peltor Work Tunes ear protectors and find them comfortable to use. I don't use them with the chain saw, but they work great on the Kubota.

Another Peltor Worktunes user here. It's safer to use something that protects your hearing, and has the radio/audio input features than to try to overcome the sound of the tractor by cranking up the music.

I have tinitus from woodworking without hearing protection (happened over a period of only 1-2 years.), so I now try to protect myself. Luckily, I like the sound of crickets, and have grown used to hearing them 24/7/365.

I worry when I see people using equipment with regular headphones or earbuds. I can't imagine how loud you'd have to have the music in order to hear over the engine.

I'm going to upgrade from the AM/FM model Peltor that I have to something with an audio input, digital tuning, and maybe active noise cancelling. I have difficulty keeping some stations dialed in, so I'm hoping that the digital tuner helps.

Never thought about listening to books... not a bad idea!

I've been listening to audiobooks while tractoring for more than fifteen years now. Much easier with MP3 and downloadable books from local library ($0.00) as compared to portable cassette tapes.

I second the comment on folks using earbuds - you'd need it to be incredibly loud to overpower external noise. Get the good headset and protect your hearing!

I have Peltors also. They work great. Digital tuning, with mp3 player input. They are always on my head. Even watched the fireworks with them.

That jensen seems very cool! Maybe good for a bunch of uses for me.. Jet ski, atv, and tractor.
