- Bolens G214
Last year I got a great deal on my neighbor's early 1980's Bolens F214 Tractor (which is really a rebranded Japanese Iseki) with a loader and backhoe. Got a good bit of work done with it, but just as I was finishing a french drain trench I lost rear wheel drive. Still have front wheel drive, so was able to just barely limp it back into storage.
Did enough investigation to narrow it down to some shaft or gear between the transmission and the rear axles. *some more details below
With a full time job and other tasks taking up my time, I've decided taking this apart is just out of my abilities, but haven't found any shop in the seattle area willing to take it on. Is this common? Anyone know someone that might be willing to take it on? I checked with some smaller local tractor repair shops, Pape (formerly Washington Tractor), Auburn Agrishop, and no one I've found so far seems willing to work on a brand they don't sell.
Anyone have similar experiences? I'm willing to transport (or pay to transport) if need be. I'm willing to go with a long lead time or someone who does this as a hobby. Am I missing something? Anyone on here have experience with older japanese tractors?
Thanks!

*Some additional details
- I have the full (paper) tractor and engine service manuals. The manual seems excellent, but this doesn't fit any of the troubleshooting items.
- It's not a broken rear axle. If I lift the rear of the tractor off the ground and put it in gear in 2wd both rear tires will spin, but both can be stopped with a finger, If I apply brake to one side, the other keeps spinning. If I lock the diff I can stop both sides, again with a finger. I am 99% this means it is not an axle.
- It's not in the front transmission, because I have torque to the front wheels. (it could be in the shaft that takes power from the front trans to the rear)
