Tractor Riding

Okay, this came in the email and its kind of fun. I had to modify it somewhat to keep in the tractor line, since it originally dealt with eating chocolate

1. Pick the number of times you want to ride your tractor per week (more than once, less than 10 times).

2. Multiply this number by 2.

3. Add 5

4. Multiply it by 50-- I'll wait while you get the calculator.

5. If you have already had your birthday this year, add 1752. If you haven't, add 1751.

6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should have a three digit number...

The first digit of this was your original number (ie, how many times you want to ride your tractor each week.)

The next two numbers are...

YOUR AGE! (oh yes, it is!)

THIS IS THE ONLY YEAR (2002) IT WILL EVER WORK, SO SPREAD IT AROUND WHILE IT LASTS.

If you want to do this again next year, just add 1 to the 1752/1751 constant in step 5. If you'd like to try it in 2025, use 1752 + (2025-2002) = 1775 (or 1774) in step 5.

Sorry. I guess I've been getting into my taxes a bit too much.

...if amount on line 14 is less than .73 times your net adjusted capital depreciation, recalculate the alternative minimum tax using Form 8223 and disregarding prior-year carryover for all non-capitalized assets...
