It is interesting, the market hit hardest is the under 40hp market but over 100hp gained. It looks like the ag sector is still buying but the homeowner market took a decent hit. I would love to see a break down by brand but that is one of those dreams we all have, much like winning the lotto

And before anyone asks, tractors with FWA are called 2wd tractors and are grouped with all 2wd tractors. 4wd tractors are the large artics that are generally 275hp and up.

Even the dollar pinch showing more and more here,for 2 small dealerships have close there doors,also in for sale section seeing many models...18hp-30hp...darn shame.

It is a shame. The home owners getting nailed by this economy can't afford to buy or keep their tractors if they have to make payments still. The numbers were not too surprising though when the under 40 hp market had the most decline in both Canada and US. I was surprised the 4wd market in Canada increased 200% though. The farms up there seem to be doing well.

Just watch the local ads as well as internet sites like CL and there are several several and I mean several small tractors for sale ... Fasten your seat belt, tighten your regular belt ... be wise in your decisions .............

You are right ... however I just seem to be running a little scared. I need another tractor, some other equipment but darn ... I just think I am going to wait awhile.

Okay ... Just the other day I told my wife that maybe we should close the bank accounts and use the mattress and coffee cans .... maybe keep one checking account with a minimum in it, to keep Mr. Banker Happy!!

I pass a NH/Massey dealership everyday. NH tractors, from the compacts through T6000's, are moving very well. I noticed this morning that there were only 6 new NH tractors on the lot. Massey's, on the other hand, have not been moving very well for the last 2-3 years. One of the employees there told me last week they had a lot of difficulty getting 2600 and 3600 series Masseys.
