after market companies have something that fits??

Replacement tractor seats are pretty common. You can find them at any tractor dealer or farm store. Tractor supply company (TSC) has them. Agri Supply <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.agri-supply.com/>http://www.agri-supply.com/</A> has two pages of replacement seats. You can get a catalog at 1-800-345-0169.

I have one of those seats your're talking about on a 147D. Got it a Northern Hyro. Not cheap though. About $100. I think I had pictures of it in the old yahoo club.

I put one of these seats on mine. It doesn't flip forward, and I was surprised to find an added bonus: I can go faster.

I always felt like I was going to get ejected on the old set, now I stay put, and GO.

No side arms, but I have an old forklift seat on my 186D. The company I work for removed it because the bottom cushion was shot. I had the cushion replaced and reupholstered. Now it rides much better than with the old lawnmower seat that was on it and I have front to back sliding adjustment too.
