Tractor shopping and don't know what I need (mainly for lifting 2000 lbs)

You unlocked the door I have been looking for. I had never been able to find on the tractor data site where it gave the lifting information. I suppose I overlooked the attachments tab.

You should also be aware that all these lift ratings are with full ballast hanging off the 3 point. This is why it would be advantageous to go with a heavier machine so that you aren't taking the ballast on and off all the time.

a tractor that will do what you want would be something in the range of a 7040 or 8540 kubota.
