Tractor Storage - Thought you guys would love this!

I wasn't sure where to put this thread, Safety, Customization, or just Owning/Operating. Sometimes, a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. I thought you guys would love to see how I sometimes store my tractor in the garage. When I want to leave the mower attached to finish mowing the next day: I must take the bucket off, carefully raise the loader arms, put the quick attach brackets in a vertical position, and ease up to the garage wall. I am just glad I still have room to finish insulating and put up OSB sometime in the future. Please notice how I support the loader arms so they don't leak down. A nice 2x8 on top of my saw supports it just fine. I just hope my home made saw bench holds up. I need a short piece of angle iron.

Why don't you just take the loader off? That would save alot of work and also might save a wall.

I was already prepared for that question. I don't really have a nice flat piece of concrete to put it on other than in front of the garage. The mower is now off and I have it parked in a more normal way now. Sometimes I just do that so I can finish mowing the next night if I don't get done....only a few times a year.

I know, looks stupid and when I did that last night, I thought I just had to share with my TBN buddies.

Ray,

I think your tractor looks great in there!!!! Mine sits out in the elements and I'm not happy about that. As soon as I finish my shed, it's going indoors and under a roof!!!!

Nice deer rack on the wall. Is that a local buck?

Hey Eddie,

Thanks, yeah I couldn't stand to let that tractor sit outside. Tonight I went ahead and left the bucket off as well. I plan on working in the garage on my tractor light project this weekend. Need lots of room and with the bucket off and no implements, I have quite a bit more!

Oh you guys are eyeing my junk now huh? Actually, I can't lie. That rack you see was found by my wife in our front yard one day! I think the deer must have died out back and one of the neighbors dog must have dragged it to my yard. Nice rack...I haven't shot one like that. The only rack I have gotten by hunting is one I hacksawed off a deer. I think one side has 2 points, the other 3. lol I won't post a picture of that.

Looks good to me. That's about how mine is always parked. Those rear mowers really take up the room.

Hey at least you have a shop to park it in.

When I was a kid I had to walk 5 miles in the snow barefoot uphill to and from school...........

Actually I keep my tractor at Dad's and he has one of those super heavy duty tarp frame buildings. He has his John Deere ridinging mower, his Tent trailer and my Kubota in there....

Yeah, acouple pieces of angle cut length to block collapse of the lift cyls would let you keep the space under the arms open.
