Yo Turbo...If you break into someones house what do you expect ? Give me a break, Soundguy is exactly right..What has happened in this country that there are those among us that believe someone should be able to break into someone else' s house and the home owner and his family are supposed to try and run away from all they have worked for and risk their lives in the process - Really ? Does that make sense to you ?. When someone chooses to break in they must know they are choosing to meet their maker ! They better know it if they choose to break into my house...I am not saying I will win...heck I might be asleep -- they have the advantage...not me, but I will do my best to take them out before I allow them to harm my family..You betcha..and another thing ..the police can not protect you always and they will tell you that..they can not be everywhere all the time..You have to take responsibility to protect your own or suffer the consequences..Your choice !

I didn't make the comment about feeding poison to drug dealers or hand chopping.

And I didn't say anything about being a vigilante.

If youd take the time to read my posts I'm talking about LAWS passed by some states that give VICTOMS the right to DEFEND themselves against attack, and in some cases the LAW protects the VICTOM from civil lawsuit by the PERP.

I'm refering to ones right to defend themself.. IE castle doctrine, where it's been passed. IE.. REAL US LAW.. not vigilante rule.

I consider myself a well armed pacifist. I don't go out looking for trouble. I try to avoid trouble. i try to make it hard for a perp to get into my property and my house. once he goes to the effort and does so, and then if I am threatoned.. then well.. I've got no hangups about defending myself.

To think that criminals should be allowed to harm us, and that we should not be allowed to protect ourselves is lunacy....

Show me where I said anything about not defending your house? The problem with all this "tough guy" talk is that the weak minded will use it to justify going over the line. I know how to defend my house and if I have to, I will, but I won't brag up my "macho" on a tractor site.:laughing:

I think your logic is all wet. ( and mushy too! )

self defense is self defense. if someone puts you in a position where you have to defend yourself and they get killed.. that's going to be pretty cut and dry based on what the law of your state allows, and says about self defense.

If your opinion is that you would rather let yourself be harmed or killed vs defending yourself.. then no problem.. don't defend yourself.. and the perp won't get hurt..

if your opinion is that you would rather live than die or be hurt, and you live in an area where you are allowed to use deadly force to protect yourself.. well.. then that's that.. perp beware.

I'm saying a good lawyer will fry you if he finds your post after you kill some one, however rightous the shooting . You posted an intent to kill some one . I have no problem with self defense. I conceal carry myself. Some of you advocated shooting first and looking later,good luck wth that. Lets be responsible and not give antigunners more ammo.

Neither of those particularly bother me. My two boys came to me via foster care, both of them exposed to cocaine and alcohol. Luckily, neither of them have any severe problems because of this, but there are some. After seeing what the drugs did to their family, nothing is off the table when it comes to dealing with drug users in my mind.

As for thieves, some kind of three strikes before losing a hand maybe.

While we are at it, some prison reform. No TV, no hot meals, just a granola type bar to meet nutritional needs, no hot water for showers. No A/C and only enough heat to keep them from dying. Give them a foam pad in the corner to sleep on. No more conjugal visits. Prison should be just a tick above **** on earth, not cruel, but no comforts, only what is needed to live.

and no weights. . . thats all we need for them to get out and be that much stronger. I like the sheriff in AZ who makes them all ware pink and live in tents. I think they should all be working to pay their say also, I don't care if its washing clothes making plates or fixing broken state equipment but they should earn their keep.

I didn't refer to you in particular ,I said you all in reference to this thread in general. One referred to ropes, which is lynching. One said he would shoot first and then turn on the lights to see what he got. I regard carrying a fire arm as a grave responsibility. Some of this is silly talk. I did not attack you personally, I was just responding to clarify what I meant in my original post.
