Tractorpartscentral.com vs hoye tractor parts

Stumbled across the site- tractorpartscentral which has other tractor makes and models besides the Yanmar, (example my JD 650 which we know is yanmar made), Iseki, Kubota, etc. What is extremely coincidental is the fact that it looks exactly like the Hoye tractor site. Is this your site Aaron, and if so, do you plan on expanding it with more crossover parts.

Answered my own question, is managed by Hoye. I am glad to see it. Now if you guys could only remanufacture a crankshaft for the JD 650, you guys would be millionaires with all the requests out there looking for one.

Kenmac, I guess a prior email was a little misleading. Thank the tractor Gods because my crankshaft is fine. My tractor had no ROPS and I bought it from a guy in St. Louis that was parting out his JD 650 because he could not find one and looked two years. I also have noticed others that have been looking and I have spent several hours myself trying to find one *Just in case*. I do have a issue with a sliding gear that prohibits me from using low 2 and high 5, but I took as much as I could apart and shifter forks, rails, all were fine; so has to be a slider gear *I think*. I probably will spend the 60./hr in labor x8 hours and see what is wrong for sure. The tractor has been split open, so I think it has been repaired but incorrectly. We will see. I am excited to see parts availability for this tractor and I cannot see how some OEM manufacturer will not pick up the limited availability of some items and start making them.

Here is how. The profitabiity of making an aftermarket part is far more dependent on the demand for the item than the availability of the item. As an example, I don't think it likely anyone will ever start making transmission gears for the grey yanmars, unless one specific gear in a specific model shows a very high demand.

Not Quite.

The TractorPartsCentral.com website is one of our projects (as if we didn't have enough already). It is a project that we started a couple of years ago to check the demand for those types of parts. We are not really advertising it as a Hoye website because we can't handle the tons of Iseki and Kubota phone calls (mostly technical support calls). All we are doing right now by phone is Yanmar parts & Yanmar tech support. The TractorPartsCentral site is a website & email store only.

If a part is a low demand item it is not usually practical to reproduce but is usually readily available as a used part. We have dozens of parts tractors that have been taken apart for those high demand parts - leaving behind tons of good used low/no demand parts.
